Music journalism is exactly like Almost Famous… except for all the bits that aren’t. Interviewing bands, going to shows, hopping on press junkets and churning out copy as if your life depended on it? All true.
However, I’m pretty sure the film never showed William Miller getting called out by a well-known DJ’s dad, just because he didn’t like the review of his son’s show.
